The exhibition programme includes the work of both established and emerging artists from all over Australia, with a significant representation from the Canberra region. It covers contemporary practice in a wide range of disciplines including:
painting | printmaking | sculpture | ceramics | glass | jewellery
Two of the gallery spaces are given over exclusively to this exhibition programme while the rest of the gallery offers a frequently changing display of the work of selected gallery artists. The gallery is owned and run by Martin and Susie Beaver.
The gallery shop features unusual and beautifully crafted products by some of Australia's leading craft artists. The emphasis is on finely made and individually designed work for a special gift, a corporate presentation or just to take home and enjoy. Ceramic, glass and timber pieces, from the small and practical to stunning decorative work, are available as well as hand-printed and woven textiles, jewellery, leather and silverware.
The Palette Cafe, located within the Beaver Galleries building, offers morning and afternoon tea, a la carte lunch and a relaxed all-day brunch on the weekend. It is licensed, with a delightful courtyard dining area. The unique atmosphere and innovative cuisine of the cafe has made it one of Canberra's most popular meeting spots and an ideal place to spend some time after wandering through the gallery.
